Imphal, February 26 2025:
Federal Students' Organisation, Kangleipak (FESOK) has appealed to the Board of Secondary Education, Manipur (BSEM) for making necessary measures to address distressful condition of 31 students of P Namjoklung High School, who could not appear in this year's High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination due to delay in submission of their examination forms by the school's principal.
In a release, FESOK president Kangujam Amarjit expressed strong resentment that the said students are staring at an uncertain future for no fault of theirs.
The gross negligence by authorities of the P Namjoklung High School, whose students have been appearing successfully in HSLC examinations since 1986, is inexcusable, said the president.
Noting that students and educational institutions in the fringe areas of Imphal valley are among the worst affected by the conflict that broke out May 3, 2023, FESOK urged authorities concerned to address plight of students who have been forced to miss the HSLC exam owing to unprecedented lapses on the part of the school authorities.
The students' body further appealed to all to extend support in saving the future of the 31 students in distress.
