Four injured as Shaktiman rams vehicles

Thoubal, September 24 2024: A Shaktiman truck (MN01 4968) suddenly veered and rammed at a white Maruti van (MNQ9A 0580), unregistered Honda Activa, Honda Grazla (MN01AL 7101) and an LML Vespa NV Light (MNB 3251) parked on road side at Khoirom Makha Leikai near Golden Pillar Foundation School along Yairipok-Chandrakhong road around 9:15 am Tuesday causing injuries to four persons and damages to the vehicles.

According to police report, the truck coming from Yairipok Bazar side was driven by one Angam (32), son of Shungreingam of Kasom Khullen, Kamjong district.

Due to the impact all four vehicles were damaged at varying degrees.

The injured persons, admitted to a nearby health centre, have been identified as Hidangmayum Saratchandra Sharma (45), son of (late) H Heramot Sharma; Haobam Shyamsunder Meitei (37), son of H Jiban Meitei; Laishram Ibomcha (40), son of (late) L Yaima Singh; and Saikhom Geetchandra Singh (30), son of (late) S Kanhai Singh all of Yairipok Khoirom Mayai Leikai.
