Literary Meet & Cultural Day begins

Senapati, August 23 2024: A two-day Literary Meet & Cultural Day under the theme, 'A meeting of minds and cultures' commenced from Friday at Bethany Higher Secondary School, Rikhumai Taphou, Senapati.

The event started with school principal D Riveine and headmaster John Gangmei encouraging the students to wholeheartedly participate and showcase their literary and cultural talents, while adding that it is not just about winning or losing but learning and growing.

Different literary events including rhymes competition for pre-primary students, poem recitations, debate on the topic, 'Should parents and teachers be both actively involved in their children's academic journey', solo dance competition, declamation, extempore speech, solo singing competition and quiz competition were conducted on the first day.

On Saturday, the programme will continue with cultural items showcasing the rich cultures of the land.
