CM meets DGAR, discussed security issues

Chief minister N Biren met with Director General of Assam Rifles (DG AR) Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera.
and Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) Major General Ravroop Singh, at his secretariat office on Wednesday to discuss the various progressive initiatives undertaken by the Assam Rifles in the state.
During the meeting, CM Biren and the Assam Rifles officials deliberated on the numerous activities the paramilitary force has been engaged in, highlighting the importance of aligning their efforts with the aspirations of the state government and the welfare of the people of Manipur.
The CM stressed the necessity for continued collaboration between the Assam Rifles and the state government to ensure the safety and well-being of the citizens.
Expressing his appreciation for the Assam Rifles' role in maintaining security, CM Biren acknowledged the force's commitment to enforcing law and order in Manipur.
He lauded their efforts in protecting lives and properties and recognised the crucial role they play in fostering a sense of safety among the populace.
