IBSD felicitates UNACCO MD Irabanta at GU

Imphal, August 18 2025: UNACCO Group managing director Ningombam Irabanta was felicitated and honoured by the Institute of Bio-resources & Sustainable Development (IBSD) director (additional charge) Dr Nanao Shanna on the sidelines of a discourse on 'Harnessing Nature's Wealth: Bioeconomy from Bioresources of NER' organised by Department of Business Administration, Gauhati University, on Monday.

In a release, Unacco School PRO informed that the programme was conducted by BRIC-IBSD, Imphal in collaboration with GU Department of Physics, and Intellectual Forum of North East, Guwahati.

The conference spotlighted the bioeconomic potential of the North Eastern Region (NER) of India, focusing on sustainable development through effective utilisation of bioresources.

It fostered dialogue between researches innovators, policy makers, and entrepreneurs to develop sustainable models tailored to the region.

The programme included demonstration on different research findings, global research scenario and scientific instruments for bioresources management including sustain able use of medicinal plants.

The release also stated that the function was also attended by Manipur University College Development Council director Dr Hanjabam Sukadeva Sharma, GU Department of Physics professor Kalpana Bora, IBSD Project Scientific-II Dr Ojit Keithellakpam, CPPRI and KNHPI former director Dr Rakesh Kumar Jain, and Council for Promotion, Research and Trade in Traditional Foods (CPRTTF), New Delhi president Dr Surender Singh Ghonkrokta, among others.
