Medical camp held for IDPs in Jiribam

District Hospital, Jiribam organised a free medical camp to provide essential healthcare services to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in the district.
The medical camp, aimed at addressing healthcare needs of the affected population, focused on the Bidyanagar relief camp, which houses largest number of displaced people.
Talking to the media, Jiribam CMO Dr Th Bharat emphasised the hospital's commitment to providing healthcare services to the people.
He informed that currently, the District Hospital is extending assistance to four relief camps through engaging three dedicated teams.
Daily health checkups and free medicines are being provided to ensure the well-being of those displaced by the conflict, said the CMO.
Presently, the hospital operates with eight doctors, although no specialists are available.
In light of the emerging situation, orders have been issued for posting four doctors, with two having already arrived and joining duties, while two others are expected to join soon, Dr Bharat informed, adding that he had submitted a written request to higher authorities for expediting the arrival of the remaining doctors to bolster the hospital's medical capabilities during this critical period.
