IDP from Moreh dies at relative's place

Imphal, October 16 2024: A 60-year-old internally displaced person (IDP) from Moreh, who had been staying in the relief camp at Akampat but moved in to a relative's house, died due to health complications on Wednesday.

The deceased has been identified as Nongmaithem Khambi of Moreh Ward No 12, Chingdong Leikai.

She was admitted to RIMS hospital, but the doctors on duty advised her family to take her home and provide their best service, apparently as the elderly woman had negligible chance of recovery owing to health complication.

After staying in a relative's place at Nepra Leikai, Thoubal, for some days, she died around 1 pm on Wednesday.

She was among the nine internally displaced persons from Moreh who have died in recent days.

Many of the internally displaced individuals attended the last rites of the woman.
