Thoubal, August 14 2025: The district administration in collaboration with District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), Thoubal on Thursday distributed sanitary pads, sports materials and edibles to children staying in relief camps set up in the district.

Deputy commissioner Hannah Kahmei and district child protection officer Salam Rob-indro distributed the items at Wangjing Kodompokpi Sports Complex, Lamding Higher Secondary School and Rice Research Station, Khangabok relief camps.

While acknowledging that the items provided under the DCPU might not commensurate with requirements of dis placed children putting up in the camps, DC Hannah stated that the government is sparing no efforts for welfare of the internally displaced persons.
