DC convenes meet over power cuts

Noney, August 14 2024: Due to frequent power cuts in Noney district, the public are facing significant difficulties in their daily lives.

The power crisis has intensified, disrupting government offices, banks, educational institutions, and private sectors for many days.

As a result of the current situation, deputy commissioner Dr Sharath Chandra Arroju, convened a joint meeting with various CSO leaders on Wednesday at the Longmai Bazar Board's office in Noney to discuss the matter in order to address the people's long-standing grievances.

The meeting agreed to form a joint coordination committee in due consultation with the commissioner (power) and to ask a technical expert RAC team from Guwahati to inspect and address technical problems .with the transmission lines and power substations in Noney district.
