Senapati, January 13 2025: Agnes MR from Rajaimei village was crowned Miss Maram 2025 during the MKS Night event held on Sunday.

Rangdoula Christina from Willong Khullen secured the title of 1st runner-up, while Ngounila Alphonsa from Maram Khullen claimed the 2nd runner-up position.

The beauty pageant, held as part of the MKS Night celebrations, had 18 participants out of whom 11 advanced to the subsequent rounds before the list was trimmed to five to select the ultimate winners of Miss Maram 2025 .

In addition to the main title, Miss Maram 2025 also received the Miss Beautiful Catwalk title, while the 1st runner-up was honoured with the Miss Beautiful Skin award.

During the conference session before commencement of the contest, Manipur University assistant professor Dr L Pungding spoke on the theme "Towards a Transformed Society", where he stated that the theme is not just a topic but a call to action, a vision for the future and a reminder of collective responsibility.

He explained that transformation begins with a desire for change and an acknowledg-ment that the status quo is not enough.

However, transformation is not solely about grand revolutions but about small, meaningful steps that accumulate into impactful change.

He also highlighted that a transformed society values innovation, empathy and equity.

Urging the youth and students to take the forefront in this transformation, he encouraged them to stay informed, educate themselves and others about issues such as social injustice and environmental degradation.

Dr Pungding also pointed out that transformation requires unity among people, as togetherness can bridge divides, whether cultural, economic, or ideological.

He urged all attendees to leave the conference with the resolve to act, the courage to lead and the faith to believe in a brighter, transformed society.

The conference concluded on Monday morning with the lowering of the flag by MKS Tribunal general secretary Bosco Kashung T .
