Ws Molun a fugitive, excommunicated: ANTA

Kakching, July 12 2024: Anal Naga Tangpi/Anal Naga Union (ANTA) convened an emergency meeting on Friday in connection with the recent social media post regarding an individual named Ws Molun and adopted a four-point declaration against the said person who claimed to be a Kuki.

According to an ANTA statement, Ws Molun was excommunicated by his own clan and the Anal tribe in 2008 .

He fled to Moreh and took refuge there and remained a fugitive since then.

Further stating that ANTA is not aware of any village called Motha in Moreh block, the statement called Ws Molun the self-styled chief, illegally occupying the land belonging to Thangbung Minou Anal Naga village.

Moreover, Anal Naga Chiefs' Association does not recognise his chiefship, ANTA said, adding that the signature appended in the document was without the knowledge or endorsement of the Anal Tribe.

The ANTA statement further said that Anal tribe is Naga and will always remain so.

It also said that Ws Molun has acted in his individual capacity without any knowledge or consent of the Anal tribe and stands disowned by the Anal Naga tribe.
