Imphal, January 12 2025: The Forest Department successfully conducted the forest guard recruitment examination 2024-25 on Sunday, for 137 regular and 70 contractual posts at 18 centres in Imphal, Jiribam, Churachandpur, Tamenglong, Ukhrul, Chandel, and Senapati districts.

According to a press release issued by the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and HoFF, 8,303 candidates, including females, had applied for the examination, out of which around 6800 appeared.

The exam for regular posts was conducted in the forenoon, and for contractual posts in the afternoon with the district administrations concerned making the security arrangements.

Expressing gratitude to the DCs and SPs concerned for the support extended, the release informed that CCTV cameras were installed in all the examination centres and live monitored from the forest headquarters in Imphal.

Additionally, flying squads were deployed for surprise inspections to prevent any unfair practices, the release added.
