BJP leader inspects relief camps in Jiribam

Jiribam, June 11 2024:
Manipur Building & Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board chairperson and BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary K Sarat Kumar on Tuesday inspected four relief camps where violence affected people of Jiribam are taking shelter and extended financial help to them.
Apart from inspecting the relief camps set up at different parts of Jiribam district, K Sarat also visited the house of Soibam Sarat of Sorok Atingbi, who was brutally murdered by Kuki militants on June 6, and shared the pain and grief of the bereaved family.
Regarding the visit, K Sarat Kumar informed media persons that Meeteis who fled from their villages in the present violence are being sheltered at six relief camps.
BJP and state government led by CM Biren shared the pains and suffering of the displaced people, he said and expressed hope that government will initiate steps to ensure swift and safe return of the displaced people to their respective villages.
