AdtU, VFS Global sign MoU to enhance academic collaboration

Imphal, March 11 2025: Assam down town University (AdtU) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VFS Global Academy in a move aimed at integrating specialised programmes in travel, tourism, hospitality, and retail into its curriculum.

The MoU exchange ceremony marked a step towards redefining the educational landscape and equipping students with industry-relevant skills.

According to a statement of AdtU, the event was attended by key figures from both institutions, including India Head of VFS Global Surjeet Kainth, and global head Amit Saincher.

The vice-chancellor and Pro VC of Assam down town University also played pivotal roles in the discussions, emphasising the strategic importance of this partnership.

In his address, the VC stated that the collaboration with VFS Global Academy serves as a cornerstone in expanding educational opportunities and preparing students for global careers.

The Pro VC highlighted that the partnership aligns with the university's vision to enhance international exposure for students and strengthen its academic offerings to meet industry demands.

Amit Saincher expressed his enthusiasm for the initiative, stating that the partnership underscores a shared commitment to fostering global educational standards and preparing students for the challenges of the international job market.

The ceremony featured detailed presentations by VFS Global Academy on their strategic goals and future initiatives.

It was followed by discussions on potential academic collaborations.
