Imphal, June 02 2025: The trial run of the Tera Overhead Water Reservoir has been successfully conducted, yielding highly positive results.

In a release.

PRO of Sagolband MLA RK Imo informed that water was able to reach even the first floor without the aid of any pump or external pressure, confirming the strength and effectiveness of the newly built facility.

The development comes as assured earlier by MLA RK Imo, who has remained steadfast in his commitment to resolving the persistent potable water crisis across the constituency.

The PRO noted that once officially commissioned, the reservoir will ensure equitable and uninterrupted water supply to several areas including Amudon, Kelimakhong, Leirenjam Leirak, Bijoy Govinda, Bijoy Govinda Mamang Leikai, Ingudam Leirak, Pukhrambam Leirak, Thangjam Leirak, Mabudhou Mantri Leikai and Sayang, among others.

The reservoir is a major water supply infrastructure project in the constituency implemented under the leadership of the MLA.

It is worth mentioning that new water pipelines have also been laid across the constituency over the past 10 years, significantly strengthening the entire water distribution network, it further said.
