Kangpokpi celebrates feats of Class X, XII students

Kangpokpi, June 02 2024: Kangpokpi Youth Union, an apex body of all clubs within Kangpokpi town, organised a felicitation ceremony on Sunday celebrating the accomplishments of Class X and XII students of the town.

The union emphasised the importance of education in the town's development, highlighting how the achievements of these students contribute to the broader progress and prosperity of the community.

MCS officer Samuel Misao, MPS officer Lalminlen Misao, and MES officer Joshi Lamk-hohat Haokip attended the event as resource persons, providing valuable insights and motivation to the students while Reverend Jangkhogin Chongloi attended as minister offering blessings and encouragement to the students.

Samuel Misao underscored the crucial role of Mathematics in the contemporary world, stressing that Mathematics is not just a subject but a vital tool that enhances problem-solving skills, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking, which are essential in various fields such as science, technology, engineering, finance, and everyday decision-making.

Misao encouraged students to cultivate a love for Mathematics, as this positive attitude can lead to better comprehension and application of mathematical concepts, ultimately opening doors to numerous opportunities and innovations in today's rapidly evolving society.

Lalminlen Misao emphasised the significance of exploring diverse career paths beyond traditional government jobs and advocated for the importance of entrepreneurship, private sector opportunities, and various other professions.

He encouraged students to foster self-reliance, innovation, and economic growth and to contribute to societal progress, achieve personal and professional fulfilment in a dynamic and competitive world.

Meanwhile, Joshi Lamk-hohat Haokip emphasised the vital role of Commerce in today 's global economy and highlighted how the subject equips students with essential skills in business, finance, and economics, preparing them for various lucrative and impactful careers.

The event was also attended by Kangpokpi Town Committee members, including the Committee chairman Angam Leivon, who expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the Youth Union, members of the Kangpokpi Women Welfare Organisation, and other civil bodies.

Meanwhile, educational institutions within Kangpokpi town celebrated the accomplishments of their students in the recently declared Class X and Class XII results, 2024, on Saturday and Sunday.

MBC Higher Secondary School, Mission Compound, Kangpokpi held its graduation ceremony on Sunday.

Lecturer Hatnunnem Haokip, school principal cum administrator Dr Ngamkhohao Haokip, and vice principal Bir Pradhan attended the annual award distribution.

Nempichong Misao bagged the HSE school topper award and Bharati Budathoki bagged the HSLCE school topper award.

The ceremony also featured special awards to teachers recognising their outstanding contributions during the academic session.

The school achieved 100 per cent pass percentage both in Class X and XII examinations.

Meanwhile, Diamond English High School celebrated the accomplishments of its students in the recently declared Class X results at the school campus on Sunday.

The school also achieved 100 per cent pass rate, with all 48 students passing the examination.

Chongnunthem Kipgen, daughter of Seikhokai Kipgen bagged the school's prestigious Thongkhomang (TKM) Memorial Award for securing CGPA 9 .

Lighthouse School also celebrated the achievements of its students in the Class X examination.

The school too achieved 100 per cent pass rate, with all 14 students clearing the examination, including 10 securing letter marks in Mathematics, one in Commerce, and one in English.

Nengminhoi Vaiphei was awarded the school's prestigious (L) T Misao Memorial Award for being the school topper in the HSLC Examination.
