Workshop / festival on Manipuri Dance concludes

Imphal, November 30 2024: The 4th Workshop cum Festival on Manipuri Dance organised by Loijingloya Leimarol Yaiphakol (LOLY) under the sponsorship of Ministry of Culture has concluded on Saturday at LOLY's Top Mayai Leikai office premises.

The 21-day long workshop commenced from November 10 .

The valedictory programme was attended by assistant professor Dr M Chandrakumar Singh, LOLY president L Saratkumar Singh and retired CDPO T Memcha Devi as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

Speaking at the programme, the chief guest lamented the situation of early and present cultural efforts as well as its remedial causes in the state.

The president appealed young artistes focus on their line of works with a research work for enhancing and preserving cultural assets of the state.

Memcha Devi also spoke on the cultural value and ethics of the artistes and people who love culture for future generation in his speech.

As part of the programme the dignitaries distributed appreciation certificate to the 20 participatants.
