The institution is functioning despite it facing shortages on many fronts.
Amid such a situation, the monetary demands have put immense and unbearable pressure on the teachers and the students alike, he said. The teachers and students urged "organisations" concerned to stop making monetary demands and allow the institute to function freely without any disturbances.
It may be mentioned that many schools and colleges including Pravabati College in Mayang Imphal, Kak-ching Khunou College have also staged similar demonstrations in the past urging "groups" and "organisations" to stop making such demands.
Many such protests have been held earlier.
