Ukhrul, October 21 2025: Ahead of Th Muivah's scheduled visit to Somdal tomorrow, several top leaders of the NSCN(IM) have arrived in Ukhrul, said sources.

The team of the GPRN leadership who have arrived in Ukhrul include Collective Leadership Members Rev Puni Mao, Hutovi Chishi, Convenor Steering Committee Qhevihe Chishi Swu, Deputy Ato Kilonser VS Atem.

Collective Leadership Member cum Special Emissary to the Collective Leadership Rh Raising, General Ningkhan Shimray, General Secretary of Council of Nagalim Churches (CNC) Rev Seksim Kasar and many other top leaders, said the sources.

Meanwhile, on the eve of Th Muivah's scheduled visit to Somdal, Ukhrul, the Phungyo Baptist Church, Ukhrul and All Tribal Students' Union, Manipur (ATSUM) have joined hands with the locals to prepare a grand reception.

A welcome gate with the Tangkhul word "Halelo" has been erected at the Phungyo Church Tangrei.

"Halelo" means "Here I am; I am with you" .

Rev Zaklei, Pastor PBC, Ukhrul said the Phungyo Church is the first established Church in Manipur, and it has constructed a welcome gate in the name of Ato Kilonser Th Muivah at its gate.

Ahead of the NSCN (IM) leader's visit, Zaklei said the Tangkhul Christian families have been praying and preparing to give him a fitting honour to show "our gratefulness" for his services.

"Halelo is not merely a greeting.

It carries a deeper meaning.

It means we are one and standing together for good services," Zaklei said.

Meanwhile, a press statement issued by Lovejoy Shimrah, care-taker speaker of ATSUM, said the student body is sharing the joy of the Naga people on the eve of Muivah's historic return to Ukhrul.

Th Muivah will visit Somdal, Ukhrul after more than 5 decades on October 22.He will stay in Ukhrul till October 29 .
