Imphal, April 21 2026 :
The COCOMI Women Wing has banned Chief Minister Y Khemchand, his Ministers and all BJP MLAs and leaders from attending the Khongjom Day observation this year.
Speaking to media persons at the office of COCOMI, Lamphelpat today, COCOMI Women Wing convenor Wahengbam Luwangleima said that the premeditated aggression launched by Kuki narco-terrorists against Meiteis has now escalated with the Kuki narco-terrorists now targeting Tangkhuls too.
Instead of containing the Kuki narco-terrorists and bringing an end to the aggression, the Government of India has been scheming to draw Nagas into the violence, she said.
Now the Government of India's conspiracy to perpetuate an unending cycle of violence among the different communities of Manipur is open and visible to one and all, Luwangleima said.
Pointing out that the Kuki narco-terrorists are now waging a two-front war against both the Meiteis and Nagas, the COCOMI Women Wing convenor called upon all the indigenous people of the State to ponder over who is standing behind the Kuki narco-terrorists.
The ultimate goals of the proxy war being waged by the Narendra Modi Government using Kuki narco-terrorists are fragmentation of Manipur and total annihilation of the indigenous people, she said.
Categorically saying that the ongoing aggression of Kuki narco-terrorists is a proxy war of the Government of India, Luwangleima asserted that the only way to bring an end to the sustained violence is exerting strong pressure upon the BJP Government led by Narendra Modi to stop killings its own citizens.
A sustained and strong mass movement is necessary to expose the political injustice being done by Narendra Modi and BJP to the people of Manipur before the whole world, she said.
Saying that the State Government and the MLAs supporting it have been acting only at the behest of New Delhi instead of protecting the people's life and property by containing Kuki narco-terrorists, the COCOMI Women Wing convenor asserted that the people must rise as one against alleged puppet Government and MLAs supporting it.
Kuki narco-terrorists are able to kill Meitei people at will because the State Government has been dancing to the tune of New Delhi, instead of working in the interest of Manipur, she said.
It's time for the people to teach a befitting lesson to all the Ministers and MLAs who are only interested in protecting their seats of power when the very existence of Manipur is critically endangered, Luwangleima said.
She also called upon all the people to stop all the alleged puppet politicians including the Chief Minister, his Ministers and all BJP MLAs from attending the Khongjom Day observation on April 23.Allowing these politicians who are only interested in self-aggrandisement would be akin to desecrating the sacred memorial site of the Anglo-Manipuri war heroes, she added.
