Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club here today, Lamdaibung Social Welfare Club, Kakwa assistant secretary general Ibomcha Kangujam said that the incident happened on August 14 .
He alleged that two lady teachers of the institute were directly involved in the incident.
The two lady teachers allegedly mixed certain drug with a cold drink which induced loss of consciousness and the same was offered to the student, Ibomcha said.
Thus, the student was taken to the house of one SK Wajid Shah at Sekmaijin in a vehicle belonging to him.
There the institute's founder cum managing director Yumnam Surjitkumar allegedly raped the student the whole night.
It is said that SK Wajid Shah is also a teacher at Saina Institute of Medical Sciences.
On the next morning, some people came to the girl's house and claimed that she had eloped.
However, when the girl was brought to her home in the evening, she clarified that she did not elope but was abducted, Ibomcha said.
He said that an FIR was lodged at the Imphal West Women police station on August 16 in connection with the incident.
Saying that some people in the garb of teachers have been victimising many young girl students of their own institutes, Ibomcha maintained that it's time for all the people to launch an extensive movement against such coercive violation of women's modesty and rights.
He also appealed to all the CSOs, Meira Paibi groups and student organisations to help deliver justice.
