Imphal, February 17: For the second time, a total amount of Rs 14,708, rice and vegetables collected from the people were donated towards the unity march of the Young Horizon Manipur.

The cash and materials were collected by the United Women's Front, Momnu Erikhombi Lup, Women's Association for Civic Action Kangleipak, Apunba Kanglei Shinnaibi Lup and All Manipur Anti-Drug Association during a campaign held at different places.

The donation campaign covered Moirang, Ningthoukhong, Bishnupur, Nambol, Kakching, Thoubal and Thangal Keithel, informed the functionaries of the women's organisations.

They said that they will undertake their third donation campaign at other places too.

The women activists also appealed for people's cooperation towards their donation campaign.

The campaign was launched to spread the message of peace, brotherhood and amity amongst the people of the North East region.

A number of youth are participating in the march.
