Imphal, August 16 2024: In a horrifying and barbaric act of torture/killing, a man was stuck with three nails on the head.Lalthuom Gangte (54) s/o BD Gangte was sleeping on his bed at Tuinom Khonak village, Churachandpur when some unidentified persons barged in and stuck him with three nails (of three inches) on the forehead and the back side of the head at around 10 am on August 15 .

Paralysed since some years back, Lalthuom Gangte has been a bed-ridden invalid.

On learning about the incident, a team of Churachandpur district police rushed to the house and took Lalthuom Gangte to District Hospital, Churachandpur.

He is currently undergoing treatment in critical condition in the hospital's ICU.

Police have registered a case in connection with the incident.
