Imphal, April 16: A ten member team of specialists from New Delhi today inspected the departments of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) here, said the Media Advisor of RIMS in a statement today.

This is a part of the field assessment for opening the super speciality departments in the RIMS.

The team was led by Prof NK Mohanty, Additional Director General and Head of Department of Urology of Safdarjang Hospital, Delhi.

The other members included Dr Harsh Vardhan, Head of Department, Cardiology; Dr Ajwani, senior Endocrinologist; Dr Vijay Grover, senior CTVS surgeon; Dr Karam Chand, senior neuro surgeon; Dr Radhavan, senior neurologist; Dr Jagdish Suri, senior chest physician; Dr Shalabh Kumar, senior plastic surgeon; Dr Amar Bhatnagar, senior cancer surgeon and Dr Deepak Bagga, senior paediatric surgeon.

Prof Fimate, Director of RIMS and other senior staff and professors accompanied them during the inspection.

The specialists are leaving Imphal tomorrow.
