Imphal, May 14 2026: The Election Commission has directed the conduct of a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in 16 States and 3 Union Territories, including Manipur.

According to a press note issued by the Commission, the qualifying date for SIR in Manipur, along with Odisha, Mizoram, and Sikkim, is July 1, 2026 while house-to-house visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will be conducted for these States from May 30 to June 28, 2026 .

Rationalisation of polling stations is scheduled for June 28, 2026, while the draft electoral roll will be published on July 5, 2026 .

Citizens can file claims and objections between July 5 and August 4, 2026, with the disposal of these claims and objections continuing until September 2, 2026 .

The final electoral roll will be published on September 9, 2026 .

As per the ECI, Manipur has 20,91,999 voters as on May 12, 2026 .
