20 Nagas of Konsakhul abducted

Imphal, May 13 2026: Around 20 civilians from Konsakhul, a Liangamei Naga village were allegedly abducted at Leilong Kuki village under Kangpokpi district today around 10.45 am.

According to sources, the alleged abductions occurred shortly after two Reverends and a Pastor were killed in an ambush at Saheibung Peak located between Kotzim and Kotlen earlier this morning.

Sources added that most of the kidnapped civilians are from Konsakhul village, while some belong to other communities who had come to attend a wedding ceremony at Konsakhul.

Upon receiving information about the incident, a team of Kangpokpi police and Central armed forces rushed to the area to rescue the abducted individuals.
