The Directorate of Health Services has released a set of guidelines outlining essential dos and don'ts in view of the rising Covid cases Nationwide.
In the advisory, Health Director Dr Chambo Gonmei urged people, especially those with co-morbidities and the elderly, to avoid crowded and poorly ventilated areas.
The advisory also recommended wearing masks in healthcare facilities, crowded spaces, and enclosed settings, covering the mouth while coughing or sneezing with a handkerchief or tissue, maintaining hand hygiene through frequent washing, and self-isolating and reporting early if Covid symptoms develop.
Additionally, the Health Director appealed to the public to avoid certain practices, including spitting in public, touching their face with unwashed hands, taking medicines without a doctor's advice, physical contact like hugging or shaking hands, and touching surfaces that may be contaminated.
