Give up begging culture : RPF

Imphal, December 05 2011: Alleging that the 'puppet State Government' has been continuously attempting to deceiving the people, the proscribed RPF has asserted that the political leaders of Manipur are unable to give up the culture of begging.

A statement issued by the outfit's publicity secretary T Leisemba conveyed that the outfit was ashamed on seeing the political leaders of Manipur playing sycophants to Central leaders who visited the State a few days back.

The local puppet political leaders have imbibed many practices and values which had no place in the past in the society.

The public have been enduring untold misery because of these leaders who could not even stand properly on their own feet and given to living by begging.

After allegedly suppressing and torturing the people of Manipur for the last 62 years, the Government of India started providing something since a couple of years back like construction of some roads, bridges, buildings etc, the outfit stated.

The public need to analyse thoroughly the recent paradigm shift in the Government of India's policy towards Manipur.

The Government of India has been trying to bedazzle the people by dangling some glittering objects which are all illusions after making the society so degenerated during which many innocent people were killed, many women outraged and many more maimed for life.

The perpetual propaganda floated by the local leaders that Manipur could reach the present stage only because Manipur was made a part of India should be said only by black sheep who did not know their origin.

Whatever benefits being enjoyed by the leaders and bureaucrats of Manipur are the gift of the revolutionary cadres and innocent civilians who have laid down their lives.

Reacting to DGP Y Joykumar's statement that insurgents were more focused on earning money while posing themselves as patriots and that people have started moving away from insurgent groups, the outfit conceded that insurgents groups took monetary assistance from the public but these money were never used for personal matters.

These money were used in the efforts to lead the mass on the right path of the revolution, it claimed.

Observing that some police officers have built palatial houses, quite incompatible to the salaries they are getting, the outfit alleged that some police personnel have been killing people just for Rs 2000/3000 .

Acknowledging that there are many police personnel who are educated, disciplined and patriotic, the RPF conveyed deep respect to them.

On the other hand, some police officers who have received many gallantry awards for killing numerous revolutionary cadres in fake encounters have been even organising football tournaments in the names of their mothers/fathers, it alleged.
