Imphal, September 04 2025: Saying that the Government of India's decision to extend SoO agreement with Kuki groups is against the wishes of the Manipuri people, the All Manipur United Clubs' Organisation (AMUCO) has called for its revocation.

Speaking in this connection, Pheiroijam Nando Luwang, president, AMUCO asserted that many have repeatedly demanded abrogation of SoO agreement and legal action against Kuki SoO groups for violating ground rules and engaging in various forms of illegal activities.

He alleged that the extension of SoO agreement is in the interest of a few GoI leaders and "Kuki militants" to ensure uninterrupted stipends for their cadres.

On the reopening of the NH-2 and free movement of Meiteis, he said that KZC does not have the authority to decide whether Meiteis can move freely on the highways or not.

He asserted that the relevant authorities need to first show the security measures taken up to protect Meiteis travelling along NH-2 .
