Privilege Card marks 41st B'Day of SHRI

Shija Hospitals and Research Institute (SHRI) today launched the Shija Privilege Card to makr its 41st foundation day.
The card is aimed at making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for the public at Shija Hospital, Langol, Shija Urban OPD, Keishampat, and Shija Eye Care Foundation, Langol.
The benefits include free OPD consultations in any two specialities twice a year, a 20 per cent discount on laboratory investigation, a 10 per cent discount on pharmacy medicines, a 5 per cent discount on radiology and imaging services and a 10 per cent discount on room charges.

Addressing the function held at the SJ Auditorium, SHRI Chairman-cum-Managing Director Dr Kh Palin recounted the journey of SHRI, which began as a small clinic at Paona Keithel in 1985 before shifting to RIMS Road and eventually establishing its present campus at Langol.
Today, Shija has grown into a super-speciality hospital with ISO certification, he said.
Shija has reached its present stage due to the trust of the people and the hard work of its caregivers, he said and added that the hospital aims to achieve more in the coming years.
Dr Palin also said that Shija Medical College is the first home-grown medical college in North East India to receive NABH accreditation.
Saying that work is underway to introduce a robotic surgery system at SHRI, he said that the hospital will soon procure high-end equipment, including an advanced microscope, AI-integrated ultrasonography, and a high-end laser system for use in brain tumour surgeries, ENT treatments and other procedures.
Dr Palin said they at Shija aim to promote medical tourism in the State.
Stating that around 5,000 patients from Myanmar have been treated at the hospital so far, he added that a unit of Shija will be opened in Tripura in the coming years.
Later, Assistant Manager (Public Relations) of Shija Hospitals Romiyo Maibam, presented a PowerPoint presentation highlighting the hospital's 41 years of service.
