AR inks MoU to enhance skill development

The Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) and 'We Care Skill Solutions' signed a Memorandum of Understanding today aimed at empowering the youth of Manipur with vocational skill sets and enhancing their employment opportunities.
The MoU was signed by Brig Ananya Boral, Cdr, HQ 9 Sect AR and Shreeman, Chairman, We Care Skill Solutions at the Headquarters of Inspector General Assam Rifles (South) at Mantripukhri, Imphal West.
As part of the MoU, Assam Rifles will provide the infrastructure while We Care Skill Solutions will be responsible for arranging the faculty and conducting the vocational training.

Each training programme will be for a period of 12 weeks, wherein selected boys and girls will receive training primarily on hospitality services, retail management/sales, beauty/wellness and electrician/ mechanical/plumbing skill sets.
At the end of these skill development programs, the successful candidates will receive certificates accredited to National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) and efforts would be made towards their employment by connecting them with major organizations in these sectors Nationwide.
As part of its first program, a skill development training will be jointly imparted by Assam Rifles and We Care Skill Solutions to 90 youths on hospitality and retail/sales at Sanjeevani near Hotel Imphal from June 10 .
The registration for this program has been completed and shortlisted candidates will be intimated after screening to join the skill development program.
It is worth mentioning that We Care Skill Solutions is an Imphal based organisation which has been imparting vocational training to Manipuri youth since 2017.Over the past six years, the organisation has trained over 3000 locals, of which approximately 1000 youth are successfully employed.
