Imphal, August 01 2026: The newly established provisional government of NSCN-Eastern Flank has categorically stated that the Government of India has betrayed the Framework Agreement signed on August 3, 2015 .

Speaking at a felicitation function held at Mt Horeb Camp on July 29, 2026, commander-in-chief (Longvibu) of the provisional government's Naga Army, Lt Gen A Raman said that the spirit of ceasefire agreement ceased to exist from the day the Government of India served a three-month ultimatum (August to October 2019) to the Nagas with the condition that there would be no more talks for separate Flag and separate Constitution for the Nagas.

"The Indo-Naga peace talks have dragged on for more than 28 years.

A generation has passed, and the dead have long since decayed.

We can now discern whether the peace talks have delivered the justice the Nagas deserved or whether they have weakened and drained the spirit of Naga Nationalism", he said.

Since the inception of the Ceasefire Agreement on August 1, 1997, the Indian security forces, in violation of the Ceasefire Agreement, have killed hundreds of Naga army personnel while covering up their action with lies upon lies, alleged Raman.

Such acts of killing the Naga army personnel during the peace talks between two entities is not justifiable under any circumstance, Lt Gen A Raman said.

When the peaceful political dialogue is subjected to force and might rather than justice and trust, the revolutionary patriots must rise to continue the political as well as violent armed resistance to safeguard the sovereign existence of the Naga Nation, he said.

"And when the leadership at Hebron succumbs to the pressure of our adversaries, the revolutionary patriots must rise without fear to reclaim the sacred gift from God - the sovereign existence of the Naga Nation.

We have to be ever guarded, for the destiny of the Nation is yet to be reached", the new commander-in-chief said.

He said that the assassination of Tirong Aboh, MLA of Arunachal Pradesh was executed under an order which came directly from the then Longvibu, Gen.

Anthony Ningkhan Shimray.

But after carrying out the order, Gen Anthony Ningkhan Shimray, instead of confronting the situation, and standing by his decision, chose to place the blame solely on those compliant soldiers.

The integrity of the formation and the chain of command in the Naga Army has been in question ever since, A Raman said.

"Our adversaries, in collusion with our own Naga brethren who have compromised and yielded to their pressure are ceaselessly conspiring to bring the Naga political issue to an end within the Union and Constitution of India, and to destroy the last bastion of Naga Nationalism", he added .
