Second rice-laden train reaches Khongsang

Noney, January 28 2025:
A special train operated by Indian Railways, carrying rice in 29 wagons, arrived safely at Khongsang Train Station in Noney district on Tuesday at 3:30 pm.
Notably, another special train, also consisting of 29 wagons of rice, arrived at the same station on January 26 with the rice consignment awaiting completion of unloading onto trucks.

With the arrival of the second train, a total of 58 wagons are now at the station for unloading.
According to Sinrep Gangmei, the station master of Khongsang Train Station, the unloading process is expected to take an additional 3 to 4 days before the goods can be transported to Imphal.
