Kakching, August 23 2024: Under the aegis of HRD, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Chandel organised a Capacity Building Programme cum Scientist-Farmers' Interaction Meeting at its conference hall on Friday with Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Manipur Centre head Dr Ramgopal Laha as chief guest, ICAR-KVK, Chandel senior scientist and head Dr A Ameeta Devi as functional president and Agriculture Department, Chandel ag riculture officer Ts Glaney Monsang as guest of honour.

As part of the programme, a Kisan Mela was organised with various products of the local farmers showcased to the public while dignitaries presented various inputs, seeds and chicks to the farmers.

Speaking at the programme, Dr Ramgopal Laha advised local farmers to consult with subject experts of KVK, Chandel whenever necessary so as to increase the seasonal yield.

On the other hand, Dr Ameeta Devi stressed that the programme is aimed at enlightening the farmers on success and challenges faced in the held along with providing a platform to exhibit their products.
