SBI credits CAPSP benefit to family of BSF martyr Deepak

Imphal, May 20 2025:
n a strong display of responsibility, empathy, and national gratitude, State Bank of India (SBI) extended timely and meaningful support to the bereaved family of BSF constable Chingakham Deepak Singh, who made the supreme sacrifice during Operation Sindoor in Jammu & Kashmir.
In a release, SBI informed that all necessary formalities, including documentation and disbursement under the Central Armed Police Salary Package (CAPSP), were completed with exceptional speed and care.

As a result, a total benefit of Rs 1.1 crore under the CAPSP was settled and credited to the family without delay.
This remarkable support was the result of coordinated efforts by SBI Regional Business Office, Imphal Branch, and ACB Paloura Branch, it added.
"This is more than banking it is our tribute to a life of valour and sacrifice," said SBI RBO Imphal regional manager Khumukcham Okendra Singh.
Stating that packages like State Government Salary Package and Police Salary Package provide similar benefits, he urged employees of the Government of Manipur to avail benefit of such salary packages provided by SBI .
