Congress intending candidates in Andro agree to support ticket winner

Imphal, October 18 2026: Two intending Congress candidates of Andro Assembly Constituency have agreed to mutually support whoever gets Congress ticket for the upcoming 13th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2027.The agreement was reached at a Congress workers interaction programme held on Saturday at Angtha Ngariyan Ngarangphung Playground organised by Andro Block Congress Committee.

Speaking at the event, Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) secretary Konthoujam Tombi said the 2027 election is crucial for saving Manipur and alleged that continued BJP rule will destroy Manipur.

He said the decision to support each other was taken as per wishes of workers and people.

Co-opted PCC member of Andro AC Laithangbam Dhiren said people of Andro want Congress victory and unity between them is to fulfil people's desire.

Block Congress president S Biren and others attended.
