MDPF renamed DPF at general assembly

Imphal, April 18 2025: The special general assembly of Democratic People's Front (DPF) held on Friday at Hotel Yaiphaba, here, adopted various resolutions, including renaming of Manipur Democratic People's Front (MDPF) to DPF .

In a release, Front general secretary (administration) Longjam Joykumar Meitei informed that the assembly presided over by president Dr Narengbam Rajivkumar, vice president Paonam Sunder and special guest Kshetrimayum Tama was participated by 80 members, workers and sympathisers.

It also resolved to rechristen MDPF to DPF by amending the constitution; amend certain articles and provisions of the constitution of the party; expand and reorganise the Central Committee with induction of active members from each constituent assembly (Kendra); form Election Committee and Financial Committee by the President with the approval of the Working Committee; and establish correspondence office at Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, near Andro Parking, Imphal East district.
