Japanese delegation visits Khongnangthaba University

Imphal, April 17 2025:
Khongnangthaba University hosted a Japanese delegation on Thursday, as part of a collaborative initiative with NSDC International aimed at expanding overseas employment prospects in the healthcare sector.
As per a press release issued by the university, the delegation comprising professionals from some of Japan's leading healthcare and welfare organisations engaged in interactive sessions with students to share industry insights and explore training and placement opportunities available in Japan under NSDC International's globally recognised programmes.

Among the delegates were Anshul Singhal, deputy general manager at NSDC International (India); Hidemori Soma, chairman of Heiseifukushikai Social Welfare Corporation (Japan); Masashi Nakamura, facility head at Heiseifukushikai; Mayumi Tanaka and Tsuyoshi Ishizaki, manager and chairman respectively at Eiwakai; Hosaka Mana and Yuki Nara, senior consultant and manager at NTT; and Shimpei Uchida and Yukari Narahara, SSW head and team lead from Zenken Corporation.
Nivedita Kumar, consultant with Zenken Corporation (India), also joined the programme.
The interactive sessions provided students with 'valuable information about caregiving careers in Japan, including job roles, required qualifications, migration procedures, and associated benefits.
Officials highlighted that positions in this held can offer monthly earnings exceeding Rs 1 lakh, along with additional incentives - a potentially life-changing opportunity for many aspiring healthcare professionals, the release further said.
Speaking at the event, Khongnangthaba University's officials reaffirmed their dedication to preparing students for international employment through skill development and globally recognised certification programmes.
They also thanked the NSDC International team for facilitating such a visionary partnership, it added.
