Imphal, August 16 2024: Apunba Chingmeirong has threatened to block the Chingmeirong section of the Imphal-Dimapur road if repair works are not undertaken within three days.

In a statement, Apunba Chingmeirong expressed strong resentment that the said particular road portion is in poor shape, with numerous potholes, due to prolonged neglect.

While informing that residents on both flanks of the highway road are facing health threats due to dust pollution, the statement also criticised the chief minister for failing to address the problem despite frequently taking the same road.

Apunba Chngmeirong demanded that the road be repaired within four days.

If riot, they will initiate various forms of intense protests, including bandhs and blockades, with support of local clubs and meira paibi groups.
