3 selected for MaolKeki scholarship

MaolKeki Foundation has announced selection of three students for the 2024 MaolKeki Memorial Johnstone Higher Secondary School Scholarship.
In a statement, the Foundation said this year's scholarship of 15,000, would be awarded to Lairikyengbam Akash Roy to cover academic fees and expenses.
Despite the challenging circumstance of his home being inundated in the recent floods, Akash excelled in academic performance, a justification brief, and an interview, making him the first recipient since inception of the scholarship.
Two other outstanding candidates, Josh Phijam and Khwairakpam Rahul Singh, will receive prizes to further their academic pursuits, the release recounted that MaolKeki Memorial Johnstone Higher Secondary School Scholarships were established in April 2021 by the family of late Dr Tonsana Gurumayum, an alumnus of the school and retired chief engineer of the Public Works Department.
