IDTRC conducts road safety awareness

Imphal, January 12 2025: In connection with National Road Safety Month-2025, Institute of Drivers' Training and Research Centre Manipur (IDTRC) under the aegis of Transport Department organised Road Safety Awareness at Little Star Higher Secondary School, Thoubal Haokha on Sunday.

The road safety awareness was attended by DSP (HQ),Y Sunanta Singh, DSP Thoubal (Traffic) Y Manglem Singh, School principal and IDTRC Manipur member secretary Shantikumar Naorem as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.

A chief guest of the awareness programme, Y Sunanta called upon all concerned to get acquainted with and diligently follow traffic rules to avoid road accidents as the sub-par strength of traffic personnel cannot guide the motorists everywhere all the times.

Regarding the awareness programme, Shantikumar Naorem said road safety month should be observed throughout the year instead of only one month in a year.

He said that road accident could happen anytime and hence everybody must follow traffic rules and have driving skills.
