Demise of 'Babasana', Nabakishore condoled

Imphal, September 11 2024: United Committee Manipur (UCM) has expressed deep condolences over the untimely demise of Meitei Society Churachandpur former president Yumnam Yaipha alias Babasana.

In a release, UCM information & publicity (IPR) secretary Soibam Anil informed that a condolence meeting presided over by its president Yk Dhiren was observed on Wednesday during which a one minute's silence was observed as a mark of respect to the departed soul along with recalling activities and role of Yumnam Yaipha for wellbeing of Churachandpur denizens.

UCM also shared pain and grief of the bereaved family.

Meanwhile, Bharatiya Dalit Sahitya Akademi Manipur State mourned the untimely demise of Padmashree Laishram Nabakishore and observed two minute silence as a mark of respect.

In a release, BDSA Manipur State stated that Nabakishore was a philanthropist who worked for the betterment of the poor and needy.

He was also honoured with the title 'Father of Handicap'.

The release further shared pain of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
