KOICA country director interacts with KU

An interaction programme with Korean International Development Agency (KOICA) country director Woo Chan Chang was held at the Khongnangthaba University Multi-Media Centre on Thursday.
As per a release of KU, the programme is an important step forward in achieving academic and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the varsity.
The interaction was attended by KU registrar Dr Atom Sunil Singh, AYUSH dean and director Dr A Guneshwor Sharma, faculty member Dr Laishram Imoba Singh and other faculty members from Kangleipak Medical and Nursing Institute and the College of Pharmacy.
It informed that future cooperation in Korean studies, culture, history, and tradition was discussed.
First and foremost of interest were medical-related job opportunities in terms of positions for doctors and nurses as well as the breadth for student exchanges, research partnerships, and career opportunities in healthcare, it added.
Speaking at the meeting, Woo Chan Chang expressed his excitement regarding the growing ties between India and Korea and the importance of such academic initiatives in nurturing cultural and professional relationships and going forward into their ventures.
He also reflected on rising numbers of medical professionals in demand in Korea while providing insight into prospective job opportunities for students who may be taking a career path in medicine and nursing.
