Imphal, February 10 2025: With reference to notice issued for conduct of examination to recruit assistant registrar and assistant comptroller of Central Agricultural University (CAU), Iroisemba on February 24 at Guwahati, People's Action for National Democratic Movement (PANDM) has urged authorities concerned to conduct the same examination in Imphal in the interest of candidates who are impacted by the ongoing strife.

In a release, PANDM secretary general Brojen Meitei stated that of around 3000 candidates who have applied for the two posts majority of candidates are from Manipur.

The secretary also questioned the rationale for selecting Guwahati as such an arrangement would cause serious inconvenience to Manipuri candidates, including many affected the violence since May 3, 2023.While pointing out that aerial route remains the only viable mode of transportation for many, conducting the interview in Guwahati is violating the rights of underprivileged candidates.
