Winners of DIPR short film competition declared

Imphal, August 07 2025:
The Directorate of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) has announced the results of the Short Film Competition 2025, held on the theme "Say No to Single-Use Plastic" .
The competition was organised to raise public awareness on pressing social issues through the power of visual storytelling.
Among the many entries received, three films were selected for their creativity, message, and cinematic impact.
'Sijinnadre', directed by Dinku Thingnam of Kakching Khunou, bagged the first prize, while the second spot was claimed by 'Kheiyom', directed by Seleibam Joykumar Singh of Kairembikhok Mamang Leikai.
The third prize was secured by 'Rooting In Time', directed by Gyaneshor Takhelchangbam of Takyel Khongbal Maning Leikai.
Additionally, two consolation prizes were awarded to 'Lamjing Mangal', directed by Devchand Khuman of Naoremthong Khulem Leikai, and 'But It's Just a Single One', directed by Khuraijam Rajesh of Keishampat Leimajam Leikai.
All entries for the competition were scrutinised and assessed by a committee comprising renowned filmmakers, subject experts, and representatives of the directorate.
DIPR further invites all passionate storytellers to submit entries for the ongoing Short Film Competition under the remaining themes -'E-Chal-lan Awareness', 'Unity in Diversity', and 'Support, Don't Punish'.
The department encourages filmmakers, content creators, and the public to participate and help promote awareness and positive change in society.
