Naga Conclave commences in Senapati

Senapati, May 07 2025:
A four-day event christened 'Naga Conclave-2' under the theme 'Critiquing grand narratives' organised by the United Naga Council (UNC) commenced on Wednesday in Senapati district headquarters.
More than 200 deegates are attending the event being supported by Naga Women Union (NWU) and All Naga Students' Association, Manipur (ANSAM).
The delegates include representatives from 20 Naga tribes, three subordinates and two associates including Anal, Aimol, Moyon, Chiru, Chothe, Inpui, Kharam, Lamkang, Liangmai, Mao, Maram, Maring, Poumai, Rongmei, Monsang, Tangkhul, Tarao, Thangal, Khoibu, Zeme and Kom.
Representatives from Naga People's Union, Imphal (NPUI), Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO), Joint Tribe Council (JTC) and Naga People's Organisation (NPO) are also attending the conclave.
UNC president Ng Lorho addressed the gathering in the first session on Wednesday.
