Chandel observes World Mental Health Day

District Mental Health Programme (DMHP) and District Health Society (DHS), Chandel, jointly observed World Mental Health Day at St Joseph's High School, Chandel on Thursday under the theme "It's time to prioritise mental health in the workplace" .
The observance was attended by Chandel SDC Shiekh Aslam Khan as chief guest and chief medical officer Dr Joyson Matthew Monsang as functional president, while District Hospital medical superintendent Dr Shakchung Serbum and St Joseph School headmaster Th Alfred Monsang were guests of honour.

The event featured keynote address by neuropsychiatric Dr Stanlee Telien, declaration of results and prize distribution for an essay writing competition on 'World Mental Health Day', conduct of mental health awareness session for students by DMHP, Chandel district nodal officer Dr Robindro Khangembam and speeches by dignitaries on the dais, emphasising on the importance of prioritising mental health in the workplace.
Around 280 people, including teachers, students, and well-wishers, also attended the programme.
