"Yening Kumhei" celebrates legacy of Jayentakumar

Imphal, February 05 2025: The third edition of "Yening Kumhei - A Festival of Music", organised by Ningthemcha School of Music, was held at Radharomon Mandop, Moirangkhom Sougaijam Leirak on Wednesday.

The event featured a variety of performances, including Hindustani classical vocal recital, instrumental recitals, light music and Manipuri folk music, by different artistes of the school.

Speaking at the event, School's managing director Dr Rajkumar Satyaditya shared that the annual festival aims to promote emerging artistes of the state.

He also mentioned that this year's festival was held to pay tribute to the noted lyricist B Jayentakumar Sharma.

Dr Satyaditya further expressed the school's goal of organising the festival on a larger scale in the future.
