Imphal, March 04 2025: As part of a National Integration Tour team 17 boys and 11 girls of the state from various communities visited Delhi in the second phase of the tour.

According to PRO IGAR (S), the Dimapur to New Delhi train ride was the first for many of the team members.

Their visit began with a solemn tribute at the India Gate and the National War Memorial, where they honoured the valour and sacrifice of the brave men and women who made the supreme sacrifice in service to the nation.

A defining moment of the tour was their interaction with the President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The President inspired the students to work hard and pursue their dreams and also highlighted the importance of unity, education and their role in shaping India's future, said the PRO in a release, adding that the tour of Rashtrapati Bhavan left the students in awe of its architectural grandeur and historical Significance.

They also explored the Darbar Hall, Amrit Udyan, Janjati Museum and the Rashtrapati Bhavan Museum, gaining a deeper appreciation of India's rich democratic traditions and cultural heritage.

The experience was a journey of learning and inspiration.

It strengthened their understanding of India's history, diversity, and democratic Values, fostering a deep sense of national pride, belonging, and responsibility toward the nation, added the PRO .
