MPCC chief slams Centre over continued crisis

Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president K Meghachandra has accused the Central government of neglecting the prolonged crisis in the state, which has now completed two years.
In a video message from New Delhi, Meghachandra urged the people of the state to relinquish from believing that the Centre will resolve the crisis or deliver justice but to focus on fostering mutual understanding and harmony to restore peace and normalcy .
Meghachandra said that the Centre has failed to address the grievances of the crisis affected people and has made no concrete efforts to address the situation, even imposing the President's Rule.
He said that the economy has been severely impacted, with unemployment rising and inflation soaring, affecting all communities in the state.
He further claimed that the lack of action by the Centre is manifestation about indifference towards Manipur and its people.
It is no longer necessary to place trust in the Centre, maintained the Congress MLA.
Calling the ongoing crisis an outcome of the BJP government's failures, Meghachandra reiterated his call to people of different communities in the state to work together to rebuild peace and normalcy.
